ROPS Architecture and Landscape is an architectural design studio, for interiors and gardens.

Conceived in 2014 by Michele’s creative mind, we take good care of every project we are given, coordinating each phase of the job, from the initial idea to its realisation. Curious, knowledgeable, passionate and creative, for us every garden we design and every house we restore is unique and a source of satisfaction.

Made to measure to suit the client’s wishes and needs; our projects transform beauty into reality.

Our logo is a stylised representation of the union between architecture and nature in the image of the nest of a Brazilian bird (joão-de-barro) that builds its own nest, supported by a branch with a leaf at the end. This last element has a double meaning because it can also be seen as a paintbrush to stand for the studio’s creativity.

ROPS is a lot more than landscape architecture, it is a hive of creativity, full of ideas and always in movement. Here are projects we have published over time and that make us proud to be what we are.

COLLINA DELLA CROCE IT PROJECT

Our training is along double tracks: architectonic and artistic. Michele’s begins his studies in Brazil to complete them in Italy.

After graduating in architecture at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2006), Michele completes two Masters degrees: Project Management of Complex Architecture at Sapienza Università di Roma (2009) and Housing – New Ways of Living – Innovation and Transformation at Università Roma Tre (2013).

In tandem he develops his artistic interests, following courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florianópolis and then at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (2010).

The greatest expression of these years of training can be seen in garden architecture, where our designs express artistic creativity combined with the shapes of nature and architecture.

The artistic sensibility invested in each project is in the hands of Michele, who is strongly rooted in architecture; the core expression is in space contaminated through the colours of nature.

Among our projects:

• two very likeable cows (Cow Parade Roma 2010 & Porto Alegre 2010);
• a luscious flowering balcony (Il Giardino di Dalì al Festival del Verde e del Paesaggio di Roma 2012).

These projects, like all those designed by Michele, emphasize the joy of living with nature in our daily life, both the urban space of a balcony that can make our senses flourish again, and that of our passions (music and the piano) and emotions (kids having fun colouring, transforming things with the spirit of childhood).
